  1. Step 1 of 6: See if your child qualifies

    • 4 years old by September 1
    • Live in Minnesota
    Good to know: The program is free for eligible families.
    Good to know: Kids with an IEP are eligible and cannot be turned away if they meet the other rules.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Find a participating school

  3. Step 3 of 6: Get your papers ready

    • Proof of child's age
    • Proof of where you live
    • Shot records
    • Health screening
    Important: The health screening must be done within 90 days of enrollment.
  4. Step 4 of 6: Apply before the deadline

    • Ask the program for the form
    • Turn it in with your papers
    Important: Deadlines vary by district - programs recommend applying early.
