What is Quality Care for Children’s Referral Service?

Quality Care for Children (QCC) is a Georgia-based nonprofit that helps families find and afford high-quality child care. Through their BOOST Scholarship Program, they offer financial support to families facing temporary hardship. QCC also offers personalized child care referral assistance through the Georgia Gateway partnership.

How do I apply for their programs?

Child Care Referral:

Call 877‑ALL‑GA‑KIDS (877‑255‑4254) and speak to a child care referral specialist who will help you find a quality provider that fits your needs.

BOOST Scholarship:

Visit the BOOST Scholarship page.

Complete the online interest form.

If eligible, QCC guides you in finding a Quality Rated provider and negotiates tuition support.

Providers are paid directly through the QCC BOOST program.

How long does it take to receive assistance?

Referral assistance is typically immediate — specialists help you find options during the call.

BOOST Scholarships follow a waitlist process; your application remains active for 3 months. QCC partners with local funders to support families during emergencies.

What do the application steps look like?

For referrals:

Receive tailored child care options (including Quality Rated providers).

Contact and tour providers of your choice.

For BOOST Scholarships:

You’ll be contacted if your family qualifies (based on income, child age 0‑12, and emergency need).

QCC helps match you with a Quality Rated provider.

Scholarships awarded – provider receives funds directly.

Your application stays active for three months; reapply if needed.

What documentation is required?

Documentation requirements may vary, but generally include:

BOOST Scholarships:

Child’s age (birth–12 years)

Proof of income (below 85% State Median Income)

Proof of qualifying emergency (job loss, new job, illness, housing insecurity, etc.)

Provider must be Quality Rated or actively seeking rating.
