  1. Step 1 of 6: See if you qualify

    • Income at or below 142% poverty level
    • Working, in school, or in training
    • No stable housing, or on Ohio Works First
    Good to know: Earn a bit more (145-200%)? You may qualify for the Child Care Choice Voucher instead.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Find a licensed provider

  3. Step 3 of 6: Get your papers ready

    • Photo ID and proof of status
    • Kids' birth certificates
    • Pay stubs or award letters
    • Proof of work or school
  4. Step 4 of 6: Apply

    • Answer within 30 days
    • County may ask for missing papers
  6. Step 6 of 6: Start child care
