  1. Step 1 of 6: See if you qualify

    Check these before you apply

    • Live in King County
    • Kids 12 and under
    • Income under the limit
    Good to know: Families with one or more undocumented members are fully eligible to apply.
    Important: You can't get this if you qualify for Working Connections Child Care or are in Seattle CCAP.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Pick a licensed provider

    They must be licensed by Washington State

  3. Step 3 of 6: Fill out the interest form

    It only takes about 5 minutes

    Good to know: Help is available in 9 or more languages.
    Important: The program is full right now and the waitlist is closed while they update their system.
  4. Step 4 of 6: Wait for the lottery

    Families are picked by lottery

  5. Step 5 of 6: Finish your application

  6. Step 6 of 6: Start your child care

    The county pays your provider each month

    • Money goes to your provider
