What is the SC McKinney‑Vento (EHCY) Program?
McKinney‑Vento ensures children and youth without stable housing can enroll in school right away, stay in their current school, and get needed supports—like free meals, tutoring, transportation, and preschool—without cost or paperwork delays.
Parents don’t need address proof or school records.
How do I apply or request services?
Contact your school’s Local Homeless Education Liaison (LHEP)—they will help you enroll and access services quickly.

How long will services take to begin?

What do the steps look like?
Identify your current living situation (e.g., doubled up, shelter, motel).
Reach out to the McKinney‑Vento Liaison at your child's school.
Provide basic details, but exact records aren't required.
