  1. Step 1 of 6: See if you qualify

    • Income 145%-300% of poverty level
    • Child in licensed Franklin County care
    • Up to $9,000-$10,000 per child
    Important: You cannot get RISE if you already get PFCC or a Child Care Choice Voucher.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Pick a licensed provider

    Your provider starts the application

    • Choose licensed care in Franklin County
    • Provider applies online for you
    Don't miss: Only your provider can start the application. There is no mail, fax, in-person, or phone option.
  3. Step 3 of 6: Finish your part by email

    • Watch for an email link
    • Fill in your section
    • Upload your papers
  4. Step 4 of 6: Get your papers ready

    • Two recent pay stubs
    • Birth certificate or school record
    • Unemployment letter if you have one
  5. Step 5 of 6: Wait for your answer

    • Answer in 3-5 business days
    • Provider signs the agreement

    • Pays the first full month after approval
    • Provider sends attendance monthly
    Important: Payments stop if your child leaves care or you switch providers. Missed months are not paid back.
