  1. Step 1 of 5: See if your family fits

    • Live in San Francisco
    • Child is 0 to 5
    Good to know: Free care if you earn up to 110% of Area Median Income. Half price if you earn 111-150%.
    Good to know: You do not need to be on other benefits programs to apply.
  2. Step 2 of 5: Get your papers ready

    • Pay stubs or tax returns
    • Utility bill or lease
    • Child's birth certificate
    • Who lives in your home
  3. Step 3 of 5: Pick how to apply

    Good to know: Families without a home can call Family Services at 415-644-0504 x 2330.
  4. Step 4 of 5: Send your application

    • Share family and income details
    • Say what care you want
    Important: Waiting lists may exist, so apply early.
  5. Step 5 of 5: Get matched and enroll

    • Matched with a program
    • Child starts!
