    • Single parent: 60 hrs/month work
    • Two parents: 120 hrs together
    Good to know: Full-time students and job training count too. Teen parents qualify while attending high school.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Check your co-payment

    Good to know: Families earning less can pay as little as a few dollars per week.
  3. Step 3 of 6: Get your papers ready

    • Birth certificate and shot records
    • Social Security cards and ID
    • Pay stubs or tax papers
    • Work or school schedule
  4. Step 5 of 6: Wait for your local agency

    • Choose a licensed provider
    • State pays them directly
    • You pay your small share
